Projects - Cooking - Fajita Meat

Tacos/Fajitas are an easy meal because mostly all you have to do is prepare the ingredients. The only one that requires actual cooking is the meat. You can use chicken, pork, or beef. I prefer pork or chicken. First, slice the meat into thin pieces. Second, heat up a pan on medium heat with a little bit of olive oil. Add the meat, and then add your seasonings. Here are some quick and tasty options:

  • Extremely easy seasoning:
    • Just get a bunch of packets of Taco Bell hot sauce. 3 should be adequate for 1/2 pound of meat. Empty the packets onto the meat, or marinate beforehand.
  • Slightly less easy seasoning:
    • Sprinkle some chili powder over the meat. Sprinkle whatever tastes best to you, but it’ll probably be less than you think, so start of light.
    • You can also use some Lawry’s seasoning salt, but that stuff is really salty, so it is easy to use too much and end up with very bad tasting meat.
