Quietyme

Quietyme makes connected sensors for hospitals, hotels, and apartment complexes that monitor and react to disturbances of light, noise, temperature, and humidity. With our sensors, we could tell when patients were getting good rest, when hotel guests were being noisy, and when building conditions were unsafe in danger of damage. With real-time alerting, we could notify hospital staff that they were being too noisy, have the front desk deal with noisy hotel guests before there were complaints, and have remote building owners react to loud noises or leaking infrastructure.

My role was to develop the sensors and bring them to production. We used Zigbee to create mesh networks of sensors, with gateways to upload the data. We were able to manufacture our own units with an assembly line we built. Our product line was nearly a dozen variants of sensors and interfaces.
