Allergy Amulet is a company developing a product that tests food for specific allergens and gives a reading in seconds. The intent is for people with severe food allergies to be more comfortable going out to eat. The user wipes their food with a disposable test strip, inserts it into a special case to grind the sample, then inserts the case into the reader and waits for it to report results.
During my time at the company, I developed the electronic prototypes and app prototypes and worked with the science team on the interface between the chemistry and the electronics.
